A six-day enforcement operation in Navi Mumbai uncovered an alleged food relabelling operation involving expired or near-expiry packaged food. Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration and Navi Mumbai Police investigated Sadhana Enterprises in the Turbhe TTC Industrial Area between August 24 and 29.

What investigators reported

Reports said officials found food products whose original manufacturing and expiry information had allegedly been removed and replaced. An FIR was registered and the establishment licence was suspended pending investigation.

Reuters reported nearly 5,000 cartons and chemicals and printing equipment. The New Indian Express reported 8,442 cartons valued at about ₹75.52 lakh. Because published figures differ, TruthWave does not treat either seizure figure as definitive without the underlying record.

Investigators are examining the source of the products, connected companies and intended distribution network, including reported links to exporter companies in Mumbai, Noida and Delhi.
