New Delhi, September 7, 2026: Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory after the Satya Niketan building collapse, warning that rescue and relief operations are affecting traffic movement around South Campus.
Commuters have been advised to avoid stretches including the routes from Safdarjung Hospital towards Dhaula Kuan, RTR and Benito Juarez Marg where possible, and to use alternate routes.
Emergency teams remain engaged at the collapse site as authorities continue rescue, recovery and investigation work.
Delhi authorities have also said they are working on a policy that would require periodic structural audits and safety certifications for public-use buildings, including paying guest accommodation.
