What are the GDS jobs?

The recruitment covers Branch Postmaster, Assistant Branch Postmaster and Dak Sevak roles. GDS are not regular Central Government employees. Their service conditions are governed by the Gramin Dak Sevaks rules and related official conditions.

Is there a written exam?

No written examination is used for this engagement. Selection is based on the prescribed merit process using Class 10 marks, subject to eligibility and document verification.
